Regarding Discipline:

Rules and regulation of Kumudini English Boarding Secondary school 

These rules aim to promote a positive and conducive learning environment while instilling a sense of responsibility and discipline among the students. It is important to create an atmosphere where students feel comfortable and motivated to learn while upholding the values of respect, safety, and community

  1. DRESS CODE: Students are required to wear the school uniform, which includes the school logo, to maintain a sense of unity and pride in the institution.
  2. HAIR REGULATION: Students are expected to maintain neat and well-groomed hair in accordance with the school’s guidelines. The emphasis is on maintaining a natural and tidy appearance.
  3. MINIMAL USE OF COSMETICS AND ORNAMENTS: To encourage a focus on academics and a distraction-free learning environment, students are advised not to wear cosmetics, valuable ornaments, or excessive beauty accessories. The school will not be responsible for any lost items.
  4. VALUABLES AT SCHOOL: For the safety and security of all students, it is strongly advised not to bring valuable items to school. If students violate this rule, such items will be temporarily held by the teachers and can only be returned to the student’s parents or guardians upon collection.
  5. TEXTBOOK MANAGEMENT: Students are encouraged to take their textbooks home after school for effective studying. In exceptional cases, where certain textbooks need to be kept at school, permission must be obtained from the teacher.
  6. RESPECT FOR SCHOOL PROPERTY: All school property should be treated with care and respect, as if it were one’s own. Any intentional damage to school property may result in appropriate consequences.
  7. PROPER OF COMMUNAL AREAS: Students are expected to use the school’s communal areas responsibly, keeping them clean and tidy for the benefit of all.
  8. ELEVATOR USAGE: Students must obtain permission from a teacher before using the school elevators to ensure safety and supervision.

General rules:

These rules aim to create a safe and respectful environment where students can focus on their studies and personal growth. By establishing clear guidelines and expectations, the school promotes responsible behavior, discipline, and a sense of community among its students

  1. AUTHORIZED EXIT: Students are not permitted to leave the school premises during school hours without prior permission from the school authorities. If they need to leave for any reason, they must obtain an exit card from the designated personnel at the gate.
  2. RESPECTFUL CONDUCT: Students must maintain a peaceful and conducive atmosphere on the school premises by refraining from making loud noises that may disturb others.
  3. MORNING ASSEMBLY RESPONSIBILITY: The morning assembly will be conducted by a designated assembly team under the supervision of teachers to foster discipline and a sense of community.
  4. ORDERLY MOVEMENT: Students are required to line up and walk quietly while moving between classes or during any school activities.
  5. POLITE BEHAVIOR: Students must always display polite and respectful behavior towards their teachers, peers, and all school staff.
  6. ACCESS TO FACILITIES: Students are allowed to use the computer room, library, labs, and auditorium hall in accordance with the specific rules and regulations governing each facility.
  7. RESTRICTED PLACES: Students are strictly prohibited from visiting places such as clubs, casinos, and restaurants during school hours.
  8. PROHIBITION OF SUBSTANCE USE: Smoking, drinking alcohol, and possessing drugs are strictly prohibited within the school premises and during school-related activities.
  9. NO WEAPONS ALLOWED: Students are not permitted to possess or use any kind of weapons, including items that resemble weapons, while in school uniform or on school grounds.
  10. SPECIAL CLASSROOM USAGE: To use a special classroom, students must obtain explicit permission from an authorized person, such as the Principal, Vice Principal, School Coordinator, School Incharge, or Block Incharge.

Absence:

  1. ABSENCE NOTIFICATION: Students are required to submit a written application, signed by their parents, explaining the reason for their absence from school.
  2. EXTENDED ABSENCE: In the case of prolonged absence of more than three consecutive days, students must provide a valid doctor’s prescription stating the reason for their absence

Eating Manners:

  1. CAFETERIA ETIQUETTE: Students must maintain discipline while queuing up to buy items in the cafeteria.
  2. PROPER SEATING AND EATING: Students must sit and eat in a proper and respectful manner, showing consideration for others.
  3. NO EATING IN CLASSROOMS: Eating inside classrooms is strictly prohibited to maintain cleanliness and avoid distractions.
  4. CARE OF UTENSILS: Students should handle cafeteria utensils and other items with care to ensure they remain in good condition for everyone’s use.
  5. NO EATING WHILE WALKING: Eating while walking is not allowed to avoid littering and maintain cleanliness throughout the school premises

Lost and Found Items:

  1. Students are responsible for promptly informing their class teacher and duty teacher about any lost or found items.
  2. If any student finds lost items, they should promptly return them to the rightful owner or hand them over to the school authorities.

 

 

Arriving and leaving the school:

These rules aim to instill a sense of responsibility, discipline, and respect among the students. By adhering to these regulations, students contribute to creating a positive learning environment and a cohesive school community

  1. PUNCTUALITY:  students must arrive at school on time.
  2. RESPECTFUL GREETINGS: Students should greet their teachers and school staff with respect and courtesy.
  3. MORNING ASSEMBLY ATTENDANCE: Students must be present at the school morning assembly by 9:20 a.m.
  4. LATE ARRIVAL PERMISSION: In the case of late arrival, students must seek permission from the teacher conducting the assembly.
  5. AUTHORIZED EXIT: Students should possess an exit card issued by an authorized person when leaving the school premises during school hours.
  6. LEAVING TIME: Students are advised not to stay at the school premises after 5:30 p.m.

REGULAR LATE COMERS: Students who are regularly late must provide a written letter of approval from their guardian/parents.
